Boys Middle School Track, Boys Varsity Track · Eady to Represent Golden Tigers Track at State Meet

The goal at the beginning of track season is to make it to the state track meet in Gulf Shores.  RMS 7th grader Grayson Eady will be representing the Golden Tigers in the Class 5A Javelin Championship at the AHSAA State Track Championships this week in Gulf Shores.

Eady qualified for the state meet by throwing a personal best 142 feet and 5 inches at the sectional meet hosted by James Clemens High School in Huntsville.  He will throw at 3:00PM on Thursday.

Eady will be chasing top seeded Jeremy Hickbottom from Williamson; he qualified for state with a throw of 170 feet and 3 inches.  The state record for Class 5A in javelin is 194 feet and 4 inches.

This will be the first of what we hope are several trips for Grayson to Gulf Shores.
