Russellville Tigers JV defeated Decatur 8-3 on Tuesday.

Russellville Tigers JV fired up the offense in the second inning, when Luke Barnwell grounded out, scoring one run.

Russellville Tigers JV took the lead for good with two runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Cole Barnett singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run and Harbin induced Nick Smith to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored.

Russellville Tigers JV tallied four runs in the fifth inning. Russellville Tigers JV‘s big inning was driven by a groundout by Will Rogers, an error on a ball put in play by Barnett, and a double by Smith.

Nate Green pitched Russellville Tigers JV to victory. He allowed five hits and two runs over five and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking one. Gordon White and Jackson Lindsey entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Harbin took the loss for Decatur. He lasted three and two-thirds innings, allowing nine hits and four runs while striking out four.

Decatur collected eight hits. MarksStrickland, and Maynard each racked up multiple hits for Decatur.
