Russellville Golden Tigers Varsity Clinches Lead In Fifth Inning To Defeat Deshler

Russellville Golden Tigers Varsity took the lead late in the game in a 7-3 victory over Deshler on Tuesday. Russellville Golden Tigers Varsity trailed 3-1 in the bottom of the fifth inning when Alivia Clemmons doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring three runs.

In the second inning, Deshler got their offense started when Hannah Collinsworth homered on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs.

Russellville Golden Tigers Varsity tallied three runs in the sixth inning. Russellville Golden Tigers Varsity batters contributing to the big inning included Karlie MooreLeah Rushing, and Clemmons, who each had RBIs in the inning.

Emma Whitfield got the start for Russellville Golden Tigers Varsity. She surrendered two runs on six hits over three innings, striking out three and walking one.

Murner was on the mound for Deshler. She allowed eight hits and seven runs over six innings, striking out two.
